Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools Level 2 Certificate

Course Objective

This programme is aimed at learning support staff who work under the supervision of the class teacher, whose lesson planning and day-to- day direction set the framework within which the individual works. Occupational roles could include teaching assistant, classroom assistant, learning support assistant, special/additional needs assistant or pastoral/welfare support assistant.

Course Requirements

You must be working, paid or unpaid (volunteering) in a suitable role for a minimum of 16 hours a week. 

Course Delivery

An assessor will visit the candidate at their workplace, once a month for a minimum of one hour. In addition to this, they will be set approximately four hours of work to complete before the next meeting.
