Session 1 (10am to 11am)
One hour introductory webinar ,explaining how the course is delivered and what is needed from the participants. Access to the first set of online modules given, with two weeks to complete them before the first two and a half hour webinar.
Session 2 (9.30am to 12.30pm) - Please note you will not be able to attend this webinar without completing the modules set
Two and half hour webinar,that will consist of an online session using Whereby, which will run through the information already covered as well as providing extra information, answering any questions.
Sessions 3 (9.30am to 12.30pm)
Final webinar covering the last modules will take place two weeks later
The Adult E-Mental Health First Aid (Wales) course is based on international MHFA Guidelines. Curriculum content is evidence-based, with the input of mental health professionals, researchers, and consumer advocates. As a participant, you will gain improved knowledge of mental illnesses and their interventions, knowledge of appropriate first aid strategies, and confidence in helping individuals experiencing a mental health problem. Mental Health First Aid is an educational course which teaches participants how to identify, understand and help a person who may be developing a mental health issue. In the same way as we learn physical first aid, Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to recognise those crucial warning signs of mental ill health. Suitable for people looking for employment in healthcare support, education or social work.
Three remote sessions delivered over three weeks, with independent study in between sessions. Participants must have access to a laptop with camera and speaker facility in order to complete this course (tablets or Smartphone’s unsuitable)
Developing mental health problems
